About

In the historic center of Oropesa del Mar, in Castellon, you can find Casa Arizo, a charming, Valencian modernist style house built in 1911, which was carefully restored in 2009 respecting the most decorative and architectural values of the time. The house was built by D. Jose Rivera Forner, administrator of the Counts of Cervellon, Lords of Oropesa. The owners were Carmen Rivera Llorens, daughter of D. Jose Rivera, and Juan Arizo Olmos, a reputable doctor, born in Valencia. Juan Arizo chose the name after the Spanish Nobel Prize in Medicine laureate. The house has an inscription on the front with the initials JR (Jose Rivera) and the year in which it was built (1911). Casa Arizo is framed within a cultural tourist route created by the municipality of Oropesa del Mar. In this route, the visitor can find 12 emblematic buildings in the town. Casa Arizo is a charming tourist accommodation, centrally situated in a quiet area only 1200 meters from the beach and close to the most important places. The whole house has been decorated with furniture that combines both the shapes and colours of the modernist Valencian style with functional and technological needs of today. Casa Arizo can accommodate 12 persons distributed in 4 double rooms, 2 suites and 2 family suites. The careful attention provided by all the staff at Casa Arizo, and the design of rooms and spaces take visitors away from the traditional hotel concept, and surround them in a new style of service and hospitality. Casa Arizo is located in a strategic location near the most important communication points and close to almost everywhere: 8 minutes from FIB, 10 minutes from the Harley-Davidson annual meeting, 34 minutes from Peniscola and its Jazz and Cinema festivals, 5 minutes from the yachting harbour...
