El Cid is a hidden gem in Benidoleig (a real Spanish village), in the Orba Valley. Located in the Marina Alta area of the beautiful Costa Blanca area of Spain. As well as being a "community centre" for ex-pats (mostly British), including many activities to suit all tastes, there is a wonderful Restaurant and Bar open 7 days a week. A traditional Sunday Lunch is the highlight of the week, but book early as it's very popular. A huge terrace overlooks the gorgeous Orba Valley with its enormous Orange Tree areas, with views out to the Mediterranean Sea. El Cid also boasts a 6 rink Flat Green Bowling Club. New members are always welcome. Adjacent to the terrace is a large swimming pool with a shallow children's area. There is also a Tennis court for hire. B&B accommodation is also available in twin and double ensuite bedrooms on the first floor of the property, which overlook the Bowling Green and terrace.
