Bodegas Riojanas S.A. was founded in 1890 in Cenicero by two families with deep winemaking roots. Over its 125 years' history, it has grown to be one of the most renowned Spanish winemaking firms, known for the outstanding quality of its Reserva and Gran Reserva wines. The great passion for growing grapes and ageing wine that always reigned in Bodegas Riojanas has been transmitted to the team that today runs the winery becoming an example of tradition and modernity. Its most precious legacy is its commitment to quality and the unique personality of its wines, which include such iconic brands as Monte Real, Vina Albina or Puerta Vieja. The Bodegas Riojanas Group, grew out of its century-old winery in Rioja, pursuing a diversification strategy that has led it to incorporate a range of quality wines from the most prestigious wine regions of Spain, such as D.O. Toro, D.O. Ribera del Duero, D.O. Rueda or D.O. Rias Baixas. On occasion of its 125th anniversary, the winery has organized a programme of activities throughout 2015.
