KMC Spain - Kadampa Meditation Center was born from the compassionate heart of the venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, who visited and inaugurated it on May 5, 2006. Located at the foot of the Sierra de Mijas, Alhaurín el Grande (Málaga), the complex occupies an area of 3 hectares, with gardens, fruit trees, several residential buildings with 50 rooms, a cafeteria, a shop and even a swimming pool. Following the vision and wishes of the venerable Geshe-la, in 2020 the works of the Sixth Kadampa Temple for Peace in the World began, which was inaugurated on June 10, 2022, with the presence of the General Spiritual Director of the NKT, genla Kelsang Dekyong. The ceremony was attended by 2,400 students from all over the world and many others followed him online. Since then, the Temple and the entire KMC Spain campus has been open and offers meditation classes and courses, retreats for new and more advanced practitioners, free guided tours, and receives visitors and students.
