La Nogalea

"La Flor del Nogal " is based on walls with history. Stone upon this mountain-style house was built in the eighteenth century, and for housing block, in the Cabuerniga Valley. It was in 1983 when Santi and Ceci, a young couple with roots in the area, decided to launch what many at the time turned out to be a risky bet, because then this Cantabrian valley was still somewhat hidden and isolated. However, they failed to see what today many value: its scenic, cultural and gastronomic richness. That was how the restaurant "La Nogalea " opened for residents and visitors. Thirty years later , the marriage continues to offer its guests exquisite local dishes, making for decades the name " The Nogalea " a benchmark and a tempting lure for the small town of Ruente.
