The Nobelmuseum in Karlskoga tells the story about the inventor, entrepreneur, donator and founder of the Nobel prize, Alfred Nobel. Here, at the Bjorkborn Manor, Alfred lived his last years in life. Alfred Nobel built a laboratory in the vicinity of the manor, where powder trials and experiments with artificial rubber and synthetic threads were carried out. The laboratory still exists and is today containing an exhibition of Nobel’s experimental activities and enterprise. The manor contains exhibitions about the person Alfred Nobel. Opening hours June-august: Tuesday - Sunday 11:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 15:00 - guided tours in Swedish 13:00 - guided tour in English. Opening hours September - May: Saturdays 13:00 Guided tours in Swedish Saturdays 14:00 Guided tours in English. Groups can be preebooked at any time. Café Alfred Nobel offers hot and cold drinks, sandwishes and lighter lunch
