Gamla Bankgarden i Vrigstad

Gamla Bankgården in Vrigstad contains a banking museum and a middle-class home, both of which reflect the time from the beginning of the 20th century. This is, from a banking historical perspective, a unique environment and has no equivalent in Sweden. In addition, the banking museum is the only one in the country located in its original location. Upstairs you ascend straight into a bourgeois home where time seems to have stood still. The furniture stands where it was placed in 1898, when the County Police Chief, also the chamberlain at the bank, Alfred Dahl and his family moved in. Here is also the permanent exhibition "Vrigstad entrepreneurs - how Vrigstad became Vrigstad". The exhibition shows how society has developed and the importance of enterprising people.
