In the heart of Swedish film history! Our own waffle café is situated in the doorkeeper’s lodge, or ”Portvaktsstugan”, which located at the entrance of Filmstaden just a few steps from the metro station Näckrosen. A stroll around this historical place gives pause for thought, the calm and the change of environment inspires creative ideas. The waffle café is decorated in a 1920-1940´s style, and you might even recognize some props from old movies. We serve coffee in porcelain pots, freshly made waffles and ”seven different cookies” according to the old Swedish tradition. We also recommend a visit to our small movie library. Enjoy a cup of coffee while reading about Filmstaden and our great movies stars. Our gift shop offers a selection of interesting books, collectibles like a ”movie star” deck of cards, cinema candy and old movie posters. We also offer a large selection of movies from the good old days. Opening hours: Friday–Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
