About
The Thiel Gallery, located in the walled grounds of Blockhusudden on Djurgården in Stockholm, is a prestigious art museum that houses a remarkable collection of 19th‑ and early 20th‑century Scandinavian art. Designed by architect Ferdinand Boberg in an elegant Art Nouveau style, the building preserves its original layout and hosts masterpieces by Carl Larsson, Edvard Munch, Eugène Jansson, Bruno Liljefors and other prominent artists. The museum’s sculpture park features works by Gustav Vigeland, offering visitors a tranquil outdoor experience. Guided tours, seasonal exhibitions, and a café, Café Monika Ahlberg, enhance the cultural experience for both locals and tourists alike.
