The Maison du Prieur is a legendary monastic building built along the main roads of medieval Europe, more precisely in the heart of Romainmotier. Since 1537, this house has been used to welcome distinguished guests, aristocrats and high prelates of the church. It is the last known to have survived the ravages of time and is among the last witnesses of the Gothic era in French-speaking Switzerland Area. Today the house is classified as a Swiss historic monument. The company Events et Saveurs Sarl, now a catering partner of the Romainmotier Foundation, aims to remember the sublimity of this building through various cultural projects combining events and gastronomy. A cafe-restaurant managed by Events et Saveurs is now open with a creative, tasty and local cuisine.
