Schoolhouse is a refreshingly different B&B, in a beautifully renovated Victorian villa, on the edge of the much loved Scottish highland town of Ballater. Breakfasts are deliciously vegetarian and vegan and Schoolhouse is an environmentally responsible business, using as little plastic as possible, with eco friendly products and policies. Rooms are light, fresh, clean and very spacious, offering privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. Beds are superking or twin with soft cotton bedlinen and the bedrooms all have en suite or private shower rooms. There are wooden floors throughout the building and many beautiful, natural features. The lounge has enormous sofas and a blazing wood burning stove. On chilly mornings, the wood burner in the dining room gives a cheery start to the day. Rooms have great views, with garden, carpark and free wifi. It's a 5 minute walk to the village centre. Schoolhouse is a real gem and guests often say it's the best B&B of the trip. We're child friendly too!
