Smithies is a lovely family run deli, the style is very retro with tiles dating back to the start of the 20th century, when the shop was a Lipton's. All the original thistle and shamrock tiles are still there. The shop then went on around 1950 to become direct meats at which time all the big hanging rails went in and are all still there. The shop is a must see for people who like original and different decor! We hold theme nights every month as our new "Smithies After Dark" ranging from French, Italian, Caribbean, Spanish and so on. All year round we provide personally selected gift wrapped hampers for every occasion and we have a wide range of local and British produce that we have stocked on our selves. Come and give us a visit!
