About
A museum dedicated to the History of Faversham. There is no entrance charge. There are childrens' trails and activities. An introductory display is followed by several rooms on different periods. There are also exhibitions on the historic industries of Faversham; Gunpowder and Explosives, Brick Making, Ship Building, Hop Picking and Agriculture. Don't miss our working historic (1950s) Strowager telephone exchange - watch the operation of the selectors and relays as you dial a call. You can make your own way round the museum, or the Volunteers can help you find your way and explain exhibits. We are currently reorganising the museum, but are opening as often as possible, especially school holidays. Check our hours on this page.
