Eglinton Country Park STEM trail
About
The Eglinton Park STEM trail takes young people and their families on a woodland walk through the grounds of Eglinton Park. Along the trail you will find signage that introduces the animals that live in the park. Families are encouraged to try their hand at a range of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths activities along the way. Using natural materials and resources found along the trail these activities include mini-beast hunts, transient art, worm charming and many more. While the activities are aimed at 3 - 12 year olds, there is associated digital content that will keep the whole family entertained. The trail is supplemented by a range of sculptures including our very own STEMosaurus, a woolly mammoth and a range of woodland animals. With seasonal scavenger hunts to complete, the STEM trail is a free family activity all year round. With a suspension bridge, education pond and children's playground nearby, Eglinton Country park is a great place to for families to spend the day.
