Nestling amongst traditional Victorian gardens, millponds and woodland in the heart of Northern Ireland is Ardtara, an elegant 19th century mansion, once a family home to the Clark linen barons and now home to one of Ireland’s finest restaurants. While the house is peaceful and secluded, there is that unmistakable buzz that comes from having a full-service restaurant on site, with extensive wine list and cocktail menu. We also serve a daily bar / lounge menu. Within 45 minutes of Belfast, Derry city, Royal Portrush and Portstewart Golf Clubs, the Giant’s Causeway and the Antrim Coast, this quintessential country house offers the perfect base from which to explore. The recently renovated bedrooms respect the era of the house, whilst offering all the modern conveniences, along with genuine warmth and hospitality. We offer our property exclusively for weddings and host only a limited number per year. Our attention to detail ensures the bride and groom become Lord and Lady of Ardtara on the most important day of their lives.
