Mine Hill House
About
We look forward to welcoming you to Mine Hill House, our family home in the Cotswold countryside, where we enjoy outstanding views over three counties - Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire. The house dates from 1733, and has a wealth of period details including exposed beams, flagstone floors and big open fireplaces. It is situated in a commanding position at the top of the hill, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, yet is only a short drive from the pretty market towns of Banbury, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton, Chipping Campden, Stratford-upon-Avon and Shipston-on-Stour. Stunning views over unspoilt countryside • Bed and Breakfast in peaceful location • Double/twin room with ensuite bathroom Family suite • Children welcome • Lovely walks from the back door • Dinner available by prior arrangement The Guest Bedroom Situated on the first floor, the guest bedroom may be arranged as either a double or a twin room. There are beautiful views over the garden and the open countryside beyond from the bedroom windows. Beyond the en-suite bathroom is an additional small twin room, with a sloping ceiling and a very special access - over a beam and through the cupboard doors! This room is very popular with children as it is like a secret den. Grown-ups might enjoy the adventure too if they do not mind negotiating the access. The bathroom is shared between the two rooms. On Arrival We offer our guests a cup of tea in our cosy sitting room, where a log fire is lit during the cooler months. Breakfast is served in the dining room, where works of art by Hester's mother Jo Trotter, a renowned artist and sculptor, are on display. A full English breakfast is cooked on the Aga, or a lighter Continental alternative is available if preferred.
