The restoration of the 900-year-old Tower has transformed it into an inter-active historical centre. Carefully resurrected from its ruined state, the 50ft high building was opened to the public in October 2022 offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. As you climb the stairs inside there are detailed story boards telling of the Tower’s chequered history and of the restoration work. Historical talks together with tours of the nearby St John the Baptist Church and the graveyard are staged on a regular basis.
