Boat On The Bay
About
Steeped in history on the stunning Jurassic Coast, Kimmeridge Bay is a truly unique spot. Whether you’re climbing to the Grade II listed Clavell Tower where Thomas Hardy courted his first love, or you’re discovering marine life in the tidal rock pools, this World Heritage Site offers something for everyone. From ancient fossils just waiting to be found, to the UK’s oldest working oil pump found at the Northwest of the Bay, Kimmeridge Bay will intrigue and delight. Boat on the Bay is a tented outdoor pop-up restaurant serving fresh Lobster and fresh crab and lobster for our guests to enjoy. Nick Ford, Kimmeridge Bay's full-time fisherman, has worked 300 pots exclusively since the late 1980s, and brings in the fruits of his labour in the form of sea to fish on plate, often caught and eaten within hours.
