Monkey World
About
Monkey World is a 65‑acre wildlife sanctuary in Dorset that houses over 250 rescued and endangered primates, from chimpanzees and orang‑utans to gibbons and monkeys. Its mission is to rehabilitate animals confiscated from the illegal pet trade, laboratories, circuses and tourism, and to provide them with social, enrichment‑rich environments that mimic their natural habitats. Visitors experience the rescued primates through guided tours, interactive talks and hands‑on activities, while the park also offers educational programmes for schools, team‑building events, corporate meetings, and wedding celebrations—all designed to inspire stewardship and support for wildlife conservation. In addition to wildlife care, Monkey World is committed to sustainability, using palm‑oil‑free food, recycling practices and local‑sourced supplies to minimise its environmental footprint.
