About

Kilchoman Distillery, perched on the picturesque island of Islay, is the island’s only single‑farm single‑malt distillery. Founded in 2001, it was the first distillery to open on Islay in more than 124 years, and today it produces every step of its whisky – from barley grown on Rockside Farm, through malting, distilling, ageing and bottling – all within its own 1.3 hectare plant. Visitors can explore the full production cycle through guided tours that run daily, and stop by the on‑site café for light lunches, homemade cakes, and freshly brewed tea and coffee. The distillery’s core range includes highly acclaimed releases such as Machir Bay, Sanaig and Batch Strength, each earning Gold and Double Gold accolades at international competitions. Kilchoman also hosts a unique Cask No. 1 prize draw, offering a chance to win the rare 20‑year‑old bottle that marked 20 years of the distillery’s history.
