At Oakland's , Wycoller, Colne, Lancashire, We offer en-suite accommodation and a self-catering cottage.The B&B accommodation and the cottage is A 300 year old.Grade ll listed building , which is set in a delightful hamlet in the heart of the country park of Wycoller.A stone throw away from the tearooms-( a pie and peas '' must '' after a nice long walk ).It's the perfect location for walkers doing the Bronte way or the pendle way walks.Please note , the Home-cooked evening meals are available on request .Wycoller is a peaceful, picture-postcard hamlet set amongst the calming sound of the beck running through the country park .Wyc0ller is also famous for its association with the Brontes who referred to many of the near by landmark in books ,such as '' Wuthering Heights'' and '' Jane Eyre ''Wycoller Hall ( Which is now a historical ruin ) is thought to be '' Ferndean Manor'' in Charlotte Brontes novel '' Jane Eyre ''Staying at Oakland's would give you the perfect opportunity to explore the beautiful scenery as well as discover the fascinating history of Wycoller.The surrounding areas offer a wide range of place to visit , whether it be shopping, eating out, visiting art galleries and museums or maybe going to the theatre.Other places of interest are the Yorkshire Dales, Howarth, Skipton, Ribble Valley, Pendle by the coast and with only an hours drive away are Blackpool and The Lake District .
