About
The Cherry Tree, a former Suffolk farmhouse, has been feeding and watering travellers on the A143 link between the Norfolk Broads towns of Beccles and Great Yarmouth since the 1940s. Very much the 16th-century English pub to look at – inglenook fireplaces, pewter jugs lining the walls, blue and white china, napkins folded inside wine glasses – The Cherry Tree is actually a restaurant and bar. Co-manager and chef Geraldine is famed for her home-cooked soups and sauces, especially the seafood one served with her chicken breast stuffed with crab meat and soft cheese.
