The Greyhound Freehouse
About
Chris and Mori- fi welcome you to meet our team at one of the regions most popular traditional pubs. The Greyhound at Botesdale dates back to the 1400's when it was a coaching inn on the main route to London. The pub today is bursting with character, with a roaring log fire, walls filled with taxidermy and bare oak floor boards which give it the feel of stepping back 100 years. Since re-opening in 2004 The Greyhound has carved a niche by championing the small local brewer. With an interesting range of ales, there is always something new to try. In January 2017 a major refurbishment program was completed at The Greyhound with a WOOD FIRED PIZZA OVEN installed and a refurbishment of the lounge bar, along with the creation of our own GIN DISTILLERY. The Greyhound has become the first choice for people wanting authentic pizza, in a pub with a very welcoming atmosphere.
