The Belle Freehouse
About
The Belle Freehouse is a contemporary country pub situated in the village of Bassingbourn, near Royston. The picturesque Hertfordshire village has a history deeply connected with the military, with the Barracks situated on the outskirts of the village. During World War II, the infamous Memphis Belle was based in the Barracks, and our decor pays homage to this, whilst maintaining an effortless village charm. Whether you're enjoying a glass of wine with friends and family, a pint from our selection of real ales on draught or warming yourself by our fireplace with a cup of tea or coffee, The Belle is sure to give you a warm welcome, and ensure you feel comfortable and cosy. At The Belle Freehouse, we believe in showcasing the best of local and seasonal ingredients. Our talented chefs work closely with local farmers, butchers, and suppliers to source the freshest produce, ensuring that every dish on our menu bursts with flavour and quality.
