Lakeside Leisure is a peaceful caravan & tenting campsite centred around a lake and bordered by the Afon Dewi Fawr river, two miles north of St Clears. The town's restaurants, pubs and supermarket are within easy reach but the site maintains a quiet rural atmosphere where you can relax and get away from it all in natural surroundings. Buzzards and kites often fly overhead, and Canadian geese land on the lake to nest on one of its islands, making this a good area for birdwatching. The lack of light pollution also means you can expect good stargazing on a clear night. The site features a private ISLAND for groups of up to 8 adults in 4 tents around a central firepit. The island has boat-only access, hence it is VERY PRIVATE and secluded. If you like fishing, bring your equipment to fish in the lake or the river, which is stocked with salmon, trout and sturgeon. Other activities nearby include riding, walking in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and a range of watersports in Pendine. The local area also plenty of attractions to visit, including castles, gardens and museums. Lakeside Leisure has its own café/tea room on site. There's also a clean shower/toilet block for guests' use.
