What started as an endeavour between the two branches of our large Greek and English family (the Martins and the Malthouses) to bring our recipes and love of food and wine to the Cotswolds, became a community effort when friends and neighbours joined the team. We realised we all had a shared belief in the importance of food to bring people together, as it had for us. And while Martin & Malthouse was born around our family table, we see our shop as an extension of that table - where friends and customers can gather for a coffee and try the olive oil from our family’s trees in Greece, purchase our aunt’s homemade chutney, or browse the diverse variety of locally sourced products and produce.
