The Hare and Hounds sits within the rural picturesque village of Layer Breton. The pub was built in 1662 and has a fantastic reputation for delicious food and a warm and welcoming environment.This classy yet relaxed restaurant sits in the tranquil setting of Layer Breton overlooking the magnificent and truly beautiful Heath.Whether it's a romantic meal for two, a light lunch with the girls or a long overdue family get together, The Hare & Hounds is the perfect venue. Mouth watering, freshly prepared dishes compliment the fantastic selection of fine wines and real ales, it really is a fabulous dining indulgence.The kitchen is now open for lunch 12noon until 2.30Pm Monday - Friday. Saturday until 3pm. Evenings from 6pm until 9pm Tuesday - Thursday and until 9.30Pm on Friday & Saturday. Saturday & Sunday we are open for breakfast 10 - 11.30Am. Sunday lunch 12 - 5pm. Here at The Hare and Hounds we pride ourselves on our fantastic service, warm and welcoming atmosphere and above all our ability to cater for your every need. Advance booking is strongly recommended especially during the busier weekend and school holiday periods.
