Penderyn Llandudno Lloyd St Distillery
About
Penderyn Distillery’s Llandudno Lloyd Street site, opened in May 2021, marks the revival of whisky production in Wales after more than a century of silence. Nestled in the former Llandudno Board School on Lloyd Street, the distillery sits within the scenic Brecon Beacons National Park, offering visitors a unique blend of industrial heritage and natural beauty. The facility is now a key destination for whisky lovers seeking to experience the artistry of Welsh single‑malt whisky in person. The distillery welcomes visitors from Wednesday to Sunday, providing a range of engaging activities such as guided tours of the spirit gardens, masterclasses where guests learn to craft their own whiskies, and special events that celebrate Welsh culture. Guests can also explore the on‑site shop, sampling award‑winning single malts, spirits, and limited‑edition collectibles that celebrate local legends and milestones. Behind the magnifying glass is Penderyn’s extensive product line, including the celebrated Gold, Dragon and Icons of Wales ranges, as well as a rotating selection of cask sales. The shop offers an array of spirits—from brecon gin and five vodka to merlyn cream liqueur—and curated gifts that showcase the depth and diversity of Welsh distilling. Together, the distillery experience combines history, education, and tasting in a cohesive, immersive journey for all who visit.
