The Coventry Music Museum
About
The Coventry Music Museum is a unique journey through the musical heritage of Coventry and the wider Warwickshire region. From the pioneering work of Delia Derbyshire and the experimental sounds of the 1970s to the explosive rise of the 2‑Tone movement that shaped the 1980s, the museum showcases a wide array of artifacts – from original tape recorders and guitars to recreated rooms such as the Rude Boy’s bedroom and the Ghost Town bus car. The permanent displays are complemented by rotating exhibitions exploring noughties pop, the life of T E Dunville, and the civic impact of Coventry's music scene. Visitors can experience the sound booth, listen to vintage recordings, and step into the colourful world that made Coventry a musical hub. Open Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Sundays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Admission is £6 for adults, £3 for concessions (students and senior citizens), and free for children under 15. The museum is a family‑friendly venue with interactive displays and live playback.*
