The newly installed exhibition tells the story of Trellech from Mesolithic times (Harolds stones) through Medieval (Norman Motte and Bailey) until the 18th century. The Church is thought to date from 1280 when Trellech was the second biggest town in Wales after Cardiff . The town was significantly bigger than the existing village - covering an area bigger than 20 football pitches with 378 Burgages - 'housing' plots of land, five Mills, and a market, with a population likely to exceed 3000 people. The rise and fall of the village across the the last 10,000 years can be traced on the time line in the church. Coffee and Tea making facilities are available and there are toilet facilities.
