Situated in the historic county of Durham, reputed to have been Henry VIII’s hunting lodge and home to the Eden family, guests arriving at our historic hotel won’t be disappointed with the original wooden beams, sloping roofs and creaky floorboards. Nooks, cracks and crannies that are part of the building’s original foundations are to be found in most corridors and bedrooms. We have 32 well appointed bedrooms, luxury spa, newly refurbished restaurant serving local produce, historic beehive lounge bar and the Knights Hall to host the most special of occasions.
