The Free Company is a Scottish rural restaurant and online farm shop located at the foot of the Pentland Hills. Our menu is rooted in our organic market garden, celebrating the Scottish seasons whilst practising permaculture and rearing native rare breed livestock. Working across the fields of food, design, and agriculture, our founding ethos is centred on reinvigorating forgotten rural communities and spaces, rethinking discarded economies, and bringing them into the present.
