Cornwall Coast Path
About
The Cornwall Coast Path – St Ives to St Just is a stunning 17‑mile stretch of cliff‑backed coastline that showcases some of the most dramatic scenery in the UK. With towering granite tors, secluded coves and white‑sand beaches, the route is a favourite for avid walkers, photographers and nature lovers seeking a quiet, immersive experience. The trail weaves along historic trackways, past ancient field systems, and alongside landmarks such as the grey‑seal colony at The Carracks, the iconic Gurnard’s Head and the towering Pendeen Lighthouse. The path is largely unmarked, so a map or GPS is recommended, and it is best tackled in late spring through early autumn when the weather is milder and the tides are more predictable. Because it is a public footpath, there is no admission fee, but you should allow plenty of time—approximately eight hours for a moderate pace—to fully appreciate the scenery and wildlife.
