Woodleigh Coach House guest house and cafe
About
Woodleigh Coach House is a charming Grade II‑listed heritage building nestled in the peaceful village of Cheriton Bishop, Devon. Built between 1896 and 1898 by a London brewer, the sturdy Drewsteignton stone and Cornish granite facade has sheltered generations of guests, from wartime evacuees to modern travellers. Today the historic coach house has been lovingly restored into a boutique guest house and family‑friendly café, offering 40 cosy seats inside and another 60 on a sunny terrace. Guests can enjoy a full breakfast menu all day, a selection of hot lunches served until 3 pm, and homemade cream teas with locally sourced ingredients – the perfect way to experience Devon’s relaxed hospitality. Whether you’re passing through on a road trip, exploring the surrounding countryside, or planning a longer weekend stay, Woodleigh Coach House welcomes you with a warm, home‑made atmosphere and a touch of English history.
