The Red Lion dates back to 1840 and is conveniently situated in the heart of the Scottish Borders in the village square of Earlston. Only 30 miles south of Edinburgh the Red Lion is well located for exploring the Scottish Borders and the capital city of Edinburgh. With the newly opened Borders Railway providing a direct rail link to Edinburgh Waverley station, day trips to the capital are a popular excursion for our guests fro Tweedbank station only 10 minutes from the Red Lion. All rooms are ensuite with flat screen TV, tea and coffee facilities and those at the front of the building have views over the village square. Free Wifi is available and guests have private access to our breakfast room and guest lounge/bar. The Red Lion currently has 8 en-suite bedrooms (2 singles, 2 twins, 3 doubles and a triple bed family room).
