Cragganmore Distillery
About
Cragganmore Distillery, located in the heart of Scotland’s Speyside whisky region, has been crafting single malt Scotch since 1869. The distillery’s unique flat‑top pot stills give its whiskies an exceptional smoothness and complexity, while the Craggan Burn’s fast‑flowing water provides the pure, bright character that enthusiasts prize. Visitors can explore the historic site, touring the still house, the sometimes‑visible mash tun, and the roasting room, then move on to the visitor centre where the retail area showcases aged bottlings such as the D&J McCallum 1985 case. Guided tours run every day from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and include a tasting of a range of Cragganmore expressions. Although the tours are paid, advanced booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment, especially during peak periods. The distillery welcomes whisky lovers, history enthusiasts, and families alike, offering an authentic and educational experience that highlights the rich heritage of Speyside distillation.
