Moorhouse Cottage
About
Moorhouse is an 18th century, stone-built, lead miner's cottage, lying on the cusp between wooded valley and open moorland in Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With great walks straight from the door and views in all directions, it is ideal for a break away amidst rugged scenery. It is perfectly placed for access to local attractions such as Fountains Abbey (20 km), Brimham Rocks (10 km) and the Yorkshire Dales National Park (5 km). It is 5 km from Pateley Bridge, and there are opportunities for cycling, walking, horse riding, fishing and rock climbing in the local area. Harrogate, with its world famous Betty's Tea Shop, Turkish baths and the excellent RHS Harlow Carr is 30 minutes away by car, while the beautiful and historic city of York is an hour. The two double rooms (the larger with kings size bed) share a bathroom with roll top bath and a 'snug' with original range and television. Extras include bathrobes, slippers, free toiletries and free wireless Internet.
