Barrow in Furness' famous town centre hotel. Acquired by Lancaster Brewery in 2006, the Duke has been completely reinvented and is now a luxury, town centre hotel with fifty one en-suite rooms/suites, a stylish cask ale bar, resident's dining lounge and stunning cocktail/restaurant cellar bar. The Duke is the only "full service" hotel in the centre of Barrow with extensive bar, function, restaurant and business facilities. All our hotel guests are given free parking in our private car park. The hotel bedrooms include Egyptian cotton linen/towels, free wi-fi, over-sized beds, room service and contemporary bathrooms. As important as our hotel accommodation, is our drink and food offering. We employ some of the very best chefs in the area to produce quality, well presented and enjoyable meals either casual or more fine dining. Our bar has over 50 whiskys, ten cask beers (including the full Lancaster Brewery range plus guest ales), lagers, wines, craft beers and cocktails alongside coffee/tea from Farrers of Kendal. Located in the heart of Barrow, yards from the train station, a couple of minutes walk to the town centre, within a comfortable driving distance from the Lake District and 10 mins from South Lakes Safari Zoo.
