About

We are actively involved in the fishing community to promote the heritage of our once great fishing industry from the port of Hull. We are actively involved in many projects within the fishing community to date with 23 pieces of street art on Hessle Road depicting our heritage including the Bethel-Boards with the names of 6000 trawlermen lost from our port. Also memorial benches and plaques dedicated to many of the great people who made Kingston upon Hull a world leader in the fishing industry. We have a vast research catalogue with fishermen’s sea day records and with over 80,000 photos to help you in the research of your family history. Our volunteers of ex-trawlermen are here to help with any questions. We welcome individual visitors and encourage organised group visits. Please get in touch. We are run entirely by ex-trawlerman volunteers, entrance is free, but any donations are gratefully received.
