La Tortilla Restaurant offers the very best of Duncan Chisholm's favourite Spanish Tapas Bar culture from right across Spain including its regional variations. Duncan's hobby is motor biking and this took him to the remotest corners of Spain, off the tourist trails to discover some very special tapas bars. Since La Tortilla opened its doors back in 2003, one of Scotland's very first tapas bars. Duncan has fine tuned the restaurant bringing the very best Tapas Bar experiences to Inverness, a very special restaurant which has a strong local following. La Tortilla Restaurant menu has a selection of Vegetarians and Gluten Free meals highlighted. Groups of 10 or more who book in advance at La Tortilla, can have a giant Paella cooked to order at the table. For those who are unfamiliar with what a Paella exactly is - it is a Valencian rice dish that originated in its modern form in the mid-19th century near lake Albufera, a lagoon in Valencia, on the east coast of Spain.
