The Debenham Lion has offered hospitality to villagers and travellers for at least 500 years, starting life as a ‘brewhouse with vats’ that served the local people and workers of Debenham. In 2023, the pub was lovingly restored to its former glory by a local family, and reopened in November 2023! Join us for a tipple in our atmospheric tap room, where you can enjoy a range of locally brewed ales and regularly changing guest beers, a selection of exclusively Old World wines, sourced from some of most interesting wineries in Europe, and some wonderful spirits, including locally distilled gins and vodkas, as well a selection of interesting drops from around the world. You're sure to find a new favourite drink while you're with us! In our beautiful restaurant, we serve a daily changing menu influenced by the beautiful Suffolk countryside, sourcing our food where we can from local suppliers, farmers and growers.
