1869 is a stylish boutique townhouse in the heart of Ambleside. We offer a room only service, allowing our guests to sample the many cafes and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk of their room. Each room in our beautiful Victorian building has been thoughtfully designed to provide our guests with the most comfortable and restful stay, including fluffy pillows, tea and coffee making facilities and Smart TVs. We offer a daily housekeeping service, and free parking permits, which allow our guests to park their car in a car park just a few minutes’ walk away, at no charge. Free wifi is also available throughout, and we have a luggage room should you with to leave your luggage before check in or after check out. We are also dog friendly welcoming all shapes and sizes of dogs to 1869 just so long as they are well-behaved! Plus they stay for free! Recently renovated and reopened under new ownership in April 2023.
