Buckle Yeat is situated in the picturesque village of Near Sawrey which was made famous by the children's writer Beatrix Potter - her home Hill Top is right next door and is open to the public. Some of "Miss Potters" many characters include Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddleduck. Buckle Yeat, a 16th-century cottage, is featured in some of her books and has been tastefully renovated and furnished offering excellent accommodation and first class breakfasts.
