Situated in the heart of quaint Sedbergh, the family-run 16th century coaching inn has been a favourite destination of locals, tourists and walkers for decades. Now firmly etched onto the foodie map, The Dalesman hope to welcome those looking to experience the best of the Dales through their high-quality food, local ales and stylish accommodation. An exciting expansion of the accommodation at The Dalesman is planned for early 2023, to create a further two spacious bedroom suites on the first floor featuring The Dalesman’s stylish country-chic décor. On our quest to pass on quality dishes we have been awarded a one rosette by the AA, The visiting AA inspector commented, “The food output was enjoyable on all occasions and a confident One AA Rosette Award was achieved.” The somewhat unusual level of care and consideration that is put into the sourcing and production of food is largely driven by the business’s ambition to reduce their environmental impact and support the local economy
