About
The Lakeland Model Village features over 100 buildings made of local Coniston slate, each lovingly constructed over the last 25 years by local builder Edward Robinson. Each building has been handcrafted to replicate some of Cumbria’s most iconic farms and cottages including Beatrix Potters house, Hilltop and the Bridge House, Ambleside. Following Edward Robinson’s retirement, each building has been carefully relocated to its new home in the grounds of the Damson Dene Hotel set against the stunning backdrop of the Lyth Valley, allowing visitors and families the opportunity to enjoy their history once more.
