The Unicorn Inn – The Oldest Pub in Ambleside Step into history at The Unicorn Inn, the oldest pub in Ambleside, dating back to the 1450s. A cozy, traditional inn with a warm atmosphere, we serve a great range of cask ales and hearty meals. Since taking over in May 2023, we've worked to bring a fresh energy to this historic pub. Please note that older reviews and images may reflect the experience under previous ownership, so we encourage you to visit and see the changes for yourself! Our kitchen is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with more availability during holidays. Upstairs, we have four simple en-suite rooms for a peaceful stay in the heart of Ambleside. Located in the centre of town and surrounded by the stunning fells of the Lake District, The Unicorn Inn is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a warm welcome!
