The Old Schoolhouse
About
Situated just outside the village of Ringford and some 3 miles inland from the artists town of Kirkcudbright. The Restaurant is in what was the local primary and junior school for the village and surrounding area which closed in 1977. Originally opened around 1983 as a Tea-Room, it is now a well established Cafe/Restaurant, offering light snacks as well as a full Menu. We are proud of our food and almost everything that can be made on the premises is - the list is long but includes our own bread, cakes, desserts and traybakes, our own jam, cranberry sauce, and much more. We specialise in local Fresh Produce. We are open 7 days per week, from 11am serving food all day. We also offer a wonderful Sunday Carvery every Sunday from 12pm - 6pm. As always with a busy restaurant we recommend reserving your table in advance as during peak dining times our tables do tend to fill very quickly!
