Eco Bothies These small (8'10" x 6'6" or 2.69M x 1.98M) wooden structures, designed and built on the farm, resembling the traditional upturned boat shelter, offer lined and insulated accommodation for those who prefer not to travel ladened with tent, bedding and cooking equipment. They look out to sea through fully glazed double doors and provide an indoor/outdoor living option with their outdoor deck, very helpful for our changeable weather. Bicycles and vehicles can be parked discreetly beside and an outdoor storage box is provided. Inside, a simple platform provides double or single bed options or raised seating. Each Bothy is provided with bedding, water container, rechargeable lamp and hot water bottles etc. Campsite The Campsite at Wheems is in an elevated field with stone dykes, looking south and east towards the sea; beaches and cliffs can be reached on foot in 5 minutes and by car in 2 minutes. There is a yurt providing additional common space and the camping fields have now been sculpted into level terraces and planted with shrubs. Electric plug ins available. There are hot showers, toilets and utilities including washing machine and drying line. We also now have an equipped covered kitchen area for all guests. Small Cottage Small renovated traditional cottage, overlooking bays and cliffs 5 minutes walk away. 2 Miles from village, ferry and bus. Solar and ground source heating. Situated on small organic vegetable farm with in season produce available. Attached to farmhouse with french door onto own stone terrace. Organic Farm Wheems Farm produces a broad range of organic vegetable and fruit crops throughout the summer. Crops are grown undercover in a greenhouse and in a large polytunnel, and outside.
