About
The Bay Horse is a 17th century coaching inn situated on the shores of The Levens Estuary. For nearly 30 years Robert Lyons former chef at Miller Howe Hotel during John Toveys reign, Lesley Lyons and their team have been welcoming guests to their modest, inn which delivers first class hospitality. Whether you are just in need of a simple snack, a generous Aberdeen Angus Steak, fresh fish or something vegetarian we aim to offer you the best, served by friendly staff who go out of their way to please. Sit by a log fire in winter or enjoy the view from the Conservatory Restaurant or picnic benches across the way. A wide range of spirits, cask beers and wines are available. Dogs are welcome too and there are many walks to be had right on the doorstep, up the Ulverston Canal, along the shoreline or the start of the Cumbrian Way. The cycling is excellent too and we can provide a safe place to park your bike while staying with us. All in all, a place for everyone to enjoy!
