This place is temporary closed until 1st October 2024. After 23 years working as a chef at Salts Mill in Saltaire Paul together with his wife Juliet decided to venture out and take over The Ugly Duckling Riverside Tea Room. We serve homemade food prepared to order which includes breakfast, lunches, lighter bites, and delicious home baked cakes. We are child friendly and welcome dogs (dogs get a treat too!) A recent introduction is our Afternoon Tea served on a minature picnic bench. Our in-house baked scones and Knaresborough Skallywags have been declared fabulous by our diners as has our complimentary in house Duckling shortbread served with tea and coffee (the latter subject to availability during very busy periods! although we do try to keep them well stocked!). Our beautiful riverside conservatory with outside tables are accessed from within the Congynham Hall Car Park entrance. There is a ramp to the front of the conservatory for less mobile people as well as a disabled car parking space in front. Come and see what we have to offer!
